WARNING, this post could get lengthy because I will tell you a bit about everything made in this room.

I made the pillows on the bed and the small monogramed pillow was made using a letter stencil with acrylic paint and fabric medium mixed.
I also made the curtains, though they were very easy. I purchased lace that was a green color with white leaf design. I just hemmed the top and bottom, added fringe and hung using curtain clips and rings.
The night stand was a $3 garage sale find that looked like this (below).
I sanded and painted it white with some black accents. The top I painted to look like black marble (below).

I designed and printed off this found saying, then just framed it. |

Double crown molding tray ceiling. I painted the ceiling in two colors of tan then added a glaze to blend. |

Fabric shades were purchased. |
The vanity was given to me by a friend that I helped with a bunch of decorating. She had purchased it at a garage sale and painted it a soft pink. I painted it white then added the painted details.

I painted it white then added the roses (below), and reupholstered it.

This was taken before I added the double black and white welting around the fringe. This tied it in with the black and white check I painted on the vanity. |
The MacKenzie Childs inspired chair and tuffet are talked about in this post. However, I haven't talked about the fireplace. We found the old metal fireplace surround at a local antique store. I then found the existing fireplace mantel at a garage sale. Hubby had to do some alterations because the hole was too large for the metal surround. We added trim to cover the area and I painted it white. Hubby also made me a wooden box that I painted to look like brick. Then I just purchased three 18 inch tiles to lay on the floor, set the fireplace on top and added a candle stand inside.

Took this picture as I was priming the piece. |
The oak dresser was purchased at a thrift store and was painted yellow. I stripped it down to the oak. The dress form with my wedding dress is detailed in this past post. The rest is just wall 'stuff' that I will talk about in captions under the pictures.
