Black Eyed Susan's

 My front rock wall was these daylilies in alternate colors of yellow and red.

Poinsettia

 I received a tiny 6 inch potted Poinsettia during last Christmas season. I set it in my kitchen window and it flourished.  I didn't have the heart to toss it out after the season, so I decided that I would make it an experiment. I logged on to Ask.com and looked up how to raise a Poinsettia so it would bloom this coming Christmas season.  I potted it in a larger pot and have had it outside all summer under a tree. It has grown quite large. By mid September, I will bring it inside to our basement for 13 hours per day of darkness for 6 weeks. When I begin to see red on the leaves, I can then bring it upstairs and enjoy it again for the Holiday's.  We will see if this works! So far, so good!
