A walk on the Wild Side!

A friend and client of mine has a new home that I have blogged about HERE. Originally, I showed you the house when it was staged for a tour. That tour is OVER and they moved all that 'stuff' out and now what you will see is all their personal furniture and decor.

She asked for my assistance in pulling her house together. In the living room, she had purchased new leather furniture. She already had the tables.  I felt that a bit of color was needed in the space, so I pulled in the rug from another room. I found the red pillows at Bed, Bath and Beyond. And then I talked her into living on the wild side...

I made all the brown zebra pillows.

Brown Zebra material found at Hobby Lobby!

The end goal with this room is to remove the TV from the fireplace because it is way too high. On the wall where the iron clock is, will be a dresser that will hold the TV. In place of the TV will be art and we would shift the furniture around. For now, this is working okay, and one can't expect to be completely done in a new home. It takes time to see how they live within each of the rooms.

On to the bar stools...

This room shares space with the kitchen. The only thing that needed to be done in there was to recover the seats on the bar stools. I used the brown zebra fabric on these too. This ties the two rooms together better.
See my mistake? I upholstered one with the print going front to back and the other two going side to side. DagNabbIt! She has another bar stool just sitting in the basement unneeded (pictured as the before bar stool), so I will recover it with the print going side to side so all three used bar stools will be the same. It always surprises me when I make stupid mistakes like this.

Here is a quick reminder look of her beautiful kitchen...

Here is with the newly tiled backsplash!

Before bar stools were upholstered and before we tiled the back splash behind the stove.
