What a cool and fun project this was...
And so easy to do!
Here's how I did it...
My daughter moved out of state and when she left our rental house, she left this behind...
A simple paper shade. Now I can't take credit for what I am about to show you because I saw it somewhere...I just don't remember where!
Knowing me, I didn't want to throw away a good paper lantern, so I got out my scallop circle punch from my scrap-booking supplies and some old maps and punched away.
Working from the bottom to the top, I simply hot glued each circle on the paper lantern making sure to overlap just a bit. That's it! EASY! Here is how it came out!
And when plugged in and lit...
Such a warm glow and so interesting!
